Golfers paradise

The famous Barnbougle Dunes and Lost Farm golf courses are located a quick 15 minute drive from Bridport offering a world class golfing experience. The award winning courses wind their way over rugged beachside sand dunes right by Bass Straight. A tip: you’ll want to make sure you bring along at least a few extra balls and a chipping wedge, that sea breeze has been known to swing your drive just that little bit further so you never know where you’ll end up! Finish the day at the cool sports bar at Lost Farm, or the classic clubhouse at Barnbougle.

World class MTB

The Blue Derby Mountain Bike Trails are located a 45 minute drive from Bridport offering 125km of pure mountain biking fun with something to suit all skill levels. The trails are accessed from the small, but bustling town of Derby and are free to ride year round. Refuel from a day of riding at The Hub, which serves up wood-fired pizzas and local beverages and is located only a hop, skip and a peddle (300m to be exact) from the trail head. Bikes are available for hire and you can even book a skills session to get you up to speed before you tackle the trails. Information can be found on the website.

Fields of lavender

Bridestowe Lavender Farm is located a short 20 minute drive from Bridport. As the name suggests, the farm produces rows and rows of beautiful lavender which is used in candles, creams, soaps, oils and of course the famous Bobbie the Bear. To see the lavender in full bloom you’ll need to visit during the summer months. However we think it’s worth a trip anytime to see the stunning landscape and try the array or products. Our tip? Treat yourself to the lavender ice cream - yum!
